A Special Package Has Arrived!

poematopackage

We received a special package from a faraway place recently! We haven’t opened it yet, but we’ll open it up live on an upcoming stream!

Poemato CX Stream Magic

A few weeks ago I put together a video showcasing some of the unique technical goodies we use on our Poemato CX streams. Take a look!

Hopefully it might help inspire others to try crazy, silly ideas too!

I’m actually considering doing a series of small articles on how to implement basic stuff into streams, or just how to set streams up in general. If I do, they’ll be right here on this site… someday.

Last Night: Yokai Watch

We streamed some more Yokai Watch and live-translated it into English! You can see the entire thing on Twitch here, including the pre-show, or you can see it all on YouTube here, without the pre-show:

We got a couple quests done, got some good capsules, fought a secret diamond Jibanyan, and made some accidental butt puns! We also got very lost and confused, but the many Yokai Watch experts in the chat saved the day!

Possible New Poemato CX Logo?

pmcxlogosketch

A few months ago, I designed a new Poemato CX logo for use on streams, business cards, stickers, etc. It’s sorta based on Whisper’s little stamp when you complete a quest in Yokai Watch! As of right now, it only exists in sketch form.

Last Night on EarthBound Central Live

We had our weekly EarthBound Central Live stream last night, and it was fun! It also touched a lot on reproduction cartridge, prototype cartridges, trying to tell if a cartridge is legitimate, etc.

Also, skeletons happened.

Final Fantasy IV: The After Years is Back!

(Or click here to watch on Twitch instead)

Yesterday Poe and I randomly decided to stream more FFIV: The After Years! We quickly remembered why we stopped last time, but we still managed to poop out a four-hour stream, which is pretty rare for us!

If you like dumb voice acting and the idea of rewriting the game’s dialogue on the fly, you might enjoy this. Otherwise, a pong console with Cecil drawn on it is probably a better FFIV game than this.

Yokai Watch + Terminator Synergy!

Just saw this a little while ago: Yokai Watch’s robot cat is going to be promoting the new Terminator movie. THAT’S how big this series has become 😯

I can’t remember if we’ve caught one of those robonyans or not in our playthrough yet. I think we got a gold one, though.

We Started a Poemato CX Wiki!

I have no experience with wikis or anything else, but for a long time I’ve felt we could probably use one for Poemato CX. So here it is, at last:

Some early ideas I have for the wiki include:

  • Compiling all our Yokai Watch enemy/item names and comparing them with the upcoming official names
  • Compiling all the funny and silly quotes from our streams into one place
  • Organizing a lot of the info on the games we’ve played – this will also help us remember to play games we left halfway finished!
  • A fan art gallery?
  • A page with info on regulars who’d like to have a bio/profile of some sort?
  • A page listing guests we’ve had on our streams/projects
  • A list of all the streams we’ve ever done, possibly with summaries
  • A list of memorable moments
  • A list of weird quirks we have on our streams, like the Celes “Sell-is Se-less” thing or Poe’s voice acting

I don’t know, some of these might be better suited for this here site, but I’ll give it some thought. If anyone out there reading this has any suggestions, let me know!

Mato Draws: FFIV Birthday Art!

Today is Kari Fry’s birthday, and to celebrate I tried to out-art her with some Final Fantasy IV art!

Behold, my true power! What?! This cannot be!

Testing Stuff Some More!

One time I ate a hamburger in Japan and it was pretty good. Then I ate a burger made up of ground fish and it was not good.
