Beta Poemato CX Business Cards

betapmcxcard

Been working on the very first Poemato CX business cards! Here’s the beta version. Mato & I will be handing these out at Camp Fangamer next week. We’re planning on cycling through 6-8 different quotes at the bottom… maybe one of yours is on there!

Whoa! A Poemato CX Fanfic!

Good old Crabbyrhys sent this my way recently. There’ve been silly little fanfic stories in the Poemato CX chat before, but this is the first actual full-fledged fanfic we’ve gotten… I think?

Anyway, the chat has a role in this fanfic, so have a read!

Yokai Watch: We Made a Badass Jibanyan!

We streamed some more Yokai Watch last night, and a number of things happened!

  • We learned which is superior, rice or cake
  • We did a ton of fusions/evolutions
  • We revisited the final boss as an experiment
  • We made a sword-related choice that we can never ever undo now
  • And we changed our Jibanyan into Warunyan, the badass punk version of himself!

You can watch all of last night’s stuff here!

Yokai Watch: We Got Yokai Watch 2!

Last night we streamed some more Yokai Watch live English translation, and we started off by opening an overseas package from chat regular Tachypsychia! In it was none other than… YOKAI WATCH 2!!

Tachypsychia also sent a bunch of other goodies too, so check out last night’s stream to see what we got! During our YW1 stream itself, we also found a secret super boss, hunted for sexy posters, and finally reached two treasure boxes that were never accessible before!

We’re starting to finish up the remaining quests… how hard will the final post-game super dungeon be? I’m kind of scared to find out!

Guest Hosts on PSI Let’s Play!

HylianWolf is a regular in our Poemato CX chats, and he asked us if we’d be guests on an EarthBound stream of his. We finally managed to find time for it, so here it is!

HylianWolf would actually love to have other EarthBound fans on as future guests, so if you’re interested in teaming up with him, contact him on YouTube here or on Steam here!

Poe and I are also considering collaborating more and more with other streamers like this (time and energy permitting) so let us know in the comments if that’s something you’re interested in someday. Can’t make any promises though. You’ve seen how long it’s been since we last streamed Pokemon Blue 😛

EarthBound Central Live: July 6, 2015

Mondays are our EarthBound Central Live streams, and last night’s was a lot of fun! So many silly moments, interesting discussions, and crazy ideas from every direction! Check it out here:

PROTIP: See the video’s description to skip to specific topics! And if you’re a Poemato CX regular, this might be up your alley!

Trans-America Quiz Full Stream Archive

The other day I posted a link to a “highlights” version of our recent Trans-America Ultra Quiz stream, but if you’re a fan of the full Poemato CX experience, here’s the full 2+ hours for you to enjoy!

That ending, man…

Heart Rate Monitor Revisited

IMG_6686It’s been one year since Mato played Dark Souls II while attached to a heart rate monitor on Poemato CX. Even though we both love the Souls series, neither of us are very good at the games, and Dark Souls II turned out to be not as fun as the first one anyway. We don’t plan on revisiting this game on Poemato CX, but check out the archive here if you’re interested!

We still want to optimize our heart rate monitor & play more intense games in the future. Which games would you like to see us play while wearing such a device? We don’t like games with jump scares, so intense games that require lots of concentration will definitely get our hearts pumping!

Trans-America Ultra Quiz Playthrough!

Yesterday, Poe and I finally played Trans-America Ultra Quiz for the Japanese Famicom – the last time we played it was exactly one year before, and we did horribly. But this time I had some stuff that helped me cheat, so we set out to complete the game once and for all!

The stream was several hours long, but I’ve condensed it down into one smaller video here:

What an unexpected ending 😯 I look forward to playing the Super Famicom version on stream next year!

Thanks to everyone who stopped by the stream – you can see the full archive on Twitch here. I’ll have the full version up on YouTube later sometime too.

This highlight video was sort of an experiment – I often wonder if YouTube viewers wish we could condense everything down and how long the process would take. So if you have any thoughts, let me know!

More Weird Japanese Games About America!

Last 4th of July (America’s Independence Day) marks Poemato CX’s first real foray into streaming and live-translating, so it’s a big day for us! We celebrated by playing a bunch of weird Japanese games about America, and it was a lot of fun.

It’s been a year since, and after my humiliating defeat on the American quiz game, I’ve decided to get my revenge! And this time I have some friends to help and some extra tricks up my sleeve! I’m hoping to actually complete the quiz game, which takes place all over America and is full of silly American stereotypes from Japan’s perspective!

It’s very likely we’ll end up speedrunning the quiz game, so if we finish early, we’ll probably move on to Metal Wolf Chaos – a Japan-only release for the Xbox developed by From Software and involves a badass American president blowing crap up left and right!

So stop by if you can make it today – we’ll probably start in the afternoon/evening. You can follow our Twitch channel here!

UPDATE: Our Xbox controller has run away from our house, so until we can find it we won’t be able to stream it. We considered using a DDR pad to play it, but that probably wouldn’t be smart 😛 Metal Wolf Chaos will be coming soon no matter what though!
